Finding local Welsh produce to buy is not always the easiest – but there has been a recent shift in the way we look at the environment, and so ‘buying local’ has become a lot more popular. We can now find things such as local alcohol, confectionery and fruit in many supermarkets. If you want to find some of the smaller, lesser-known Welsh food producers in the area, you’ll have to look a little harder.
We have put together this handy guide to finding Welsh produce – helping you find the most local fruit and veg, the finest meats, delicious sauces and humble gins and whiskeys.
Where can I buy local produce in North Wales?
Visit Local Markets
Colwyn Bay Artisan Market

The Conwy farmers’ market is held on the last Wednesday of every month at the RSPB Conwy. Again, you’ll be able to buy produce straight from the producers themselves.
