Conwy Morfa
Conwy Morfa is home to a large sandy bay, and at low tide, you can enjoy the sandy beach. It has a spot for pretty much everything, including swimming and paddling, fishing, building sandcastles, and is even a great spot for bird watching too.
You can also take advantage of the walking and cycling path, taking in the wonderful views without filing your shoes with sand! Enjoy the beauty of the coast, with views of Puffin Island over to Llandudno, and the backdrop of dramatic mountains.
Colwyn Bay Beach
Colwyn Bay or Porth Eirias beach is a Blue Flag awarded beach. The area went through a multi-million-pound renovation project in recent years, giving the seafront a fantastic new lease of life. Modern technology was used to pump lots of golden sand back to the shore, so there is a permanent beach, whatever the tide!
Rhos on Sea Beach
Rhos on Sea beach is a fairly small but quaint beach, complete with an offshore breakwater creating a harbour.
The seafront promenade runs alongside Rhos-on-Sea Beach, offering a pleasant walking route with stunning sea views. The promenade is lined with cafes, shops, and ice cream parlours, making it a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a leisurely coffee while taking in the coastal scenery. It’s a lovely spot to take the little ones too!
Llandudno West Shore Beach
West Shore beach is located on the western side of Llandudno and offers incredible views over the hills on the coast of Conwy. The large, fine and soft sanded beach can be surprisingly quiet despite its idyllic setting. Visit at low tide and you’ll have a lot more room for flying kites, letting the dogs roam free, or taking a long stroll along the path. It’s the perfect spot to watch the sunset too!
You can also visit the North Shore beach in Llandudno, which typically becomes a popular tourist spot over the holiday periods, with it sitting alongside Llandudno Pier.
Abergele Pensarn Beach
Abergele Pensarn Beach is known for its natural beauty and tranquil setting. The beach features a wide expanse of golden sand, framed by grassy dunes and the gentle waters of the Irish Sea. Its unspoiled appearance and relatively quiet environment make it a perfect place for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of more crowded coastal areas and beaches.
This beach is typically popular with windsurfers and kayakers, as well as those wanting to take in the panoramic scenic views.
